I welcome your comments. It’s great to know what people have enjoyed, but it’s also really important to know how I can improve and make things even better. We are all life-long learners on our own journey of discovery.
Introduction to Sashiko Group Workshop
Thanks so much for leading us in a great session on Wednesday. I have forwarded the resources to the group and they were very grateful.
I will forward you some photos once I have them. We have also been asked to write something for the village newsletter so I’ll send you what we compose, once we’ve composed it! In the meantime, I thought you might like to see some snippets of a group conversation we had following the course:
Pat – “It was wonderful and a fantastic way to spend a morning.”
Elaine – “Thoroughly enjoyed … lovely to have shared the morning with Nancy and the participants the stitchers and other friends”.
Norma – “What a lovely time I have had learning together this morning . The way Nancy teaches it’s as if she’s just with us sewing together … Really had a great time”.
Alex – “I really enjoyed it.”
Katie – “…everyone got so much out of it. It was really good to experience something new together…”

Happy Easter to everyone
Thank you for your company on the Sashiko workshops, it made a real difference in these restricted times. Thank you, Nancy, for creating such interesting and well-presented workshops.
I completed a fifth egg and have them all hanging from a (artificial) tree on my hearth. I’m sure I will do further workshops with you, they’re such fun.

I wish to say how much I enjoyed the Christmas Decorations Sashiko workshops.
It is lovely to have dedicated time for stitching. I am sure I am not alone that if life is busy the thing that gets put on one side in order to get the ‘essentials’ done is personal time usually stitching for me, so it has been lovely to know that for an hour a week for 4 weeks I have ‘me’ time.
One of the nice things with having 4 weeks is that I began to know everyone a little better and to see other people’s interpretations was lovely and gave me ideas about how I could adapt things.
I am interested in other courses you run although at the moment I have lots of ideas to put into practice so learning natural dyeing which I would love to learn, might have to wait a while.

Introduction to Sashiko Workshop
I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your Sashiko stitching course – it was such a nice relaxing experience and I am thrilled with my lavender pillow. Look forward to catching up again in the future. Best wishes.

Perfect follow on from the beginner course!
“Thank you Nancy, such a lovely relaxing way to start the afternoon. This was the perfect follow on from the beginner course, the Sashiko techniques were challenging but very achievable and I’ll definitely enjoy using and showing off my finished bag! I will definitely look out for more of your classes as I like your teaching style and have learned so much.
Thank you again.”
Thank you again.”

My decorations turned out really well!
I’ve used them as gift tags to family but just remembered to take a photo before posting the last 3 ?
I’ve also included a photo of my table runner ‘in situ’, I’m going to hunt down a dark blue tablecloth in the New Year as I think that will look very chic.
I’m sure I’ll be back for more workshops, they have helped to keep me sane throughout the year and it’s been lovely to meet others focused on a
shared interest.

Thank you so much for this afternoon and last week.
It’s so enjoyable to work as part of a group. You have really mastered the Zoom approach to workshops.
